Amidst the lockdown when the central government has issued strict guidelines for IT industries and many other industries to allow their employees to work from home to maintain social distancing measures.

the need of the hour for every company has been to find a platform where they can hold various meetings with their employees which will allow both video conferencing as well as screen sharing and also allow multiple participants to take part in the meetings.

While product-based companies like Amazon and Google have developed their platforms like amazon chime and google duo for such purposes.

other service-based companies have to rely on third-party Company products although here we are going to limit ourselves to zoom and google meet.

Both applications provide video chat to their clients that have been widely popular for a while and can both be found on a variety of platforms.

While each service is rather simple to use, one is more limited than the other in terms of the size of the groups it appeals to — and the other doesn’t care about how much time you spend chatting away.

With Zoom, you can get up to 100 video callers on the line at once, and see as many as 49 of them at the same time.

That towers over the 25 video chat participants number from Google Hangouts it’s also the more-fun version. Sure, people can use emoji’s to react on Hangouts, but that’s table-stakes.

However, hangouts win for me because of utter simplicity. Zoom is available in both android and IOS.

While using Zoom, it’s important to take into consideration the security issues that have come to light since its rapid rise in popularity during the coronavirus pandemic.

Privacy experts have expressed concerns over the video-conferencing software’s privacy risks and hacking vulnerabilities.

However, hangouts win for me because of utter simplicity. Zoom is available in both android and IOS.

Zoom tries to get you to download an app and since my Hangouts aren’t going to be for more than 25 people, I’m paying more attention to the free Zoom’s other limit, as it allows a meeting to take place up to 40 minutes with no interruption.
